More than a Mum & Baby group, Gathered is your community for the early years of parenthood.

Our South East London membership community offers genuine connection, meaningful conversation and lasting friendship. Join us for facilitated in-person meetups, thought provoking podcasts and welcoming social events.

We have a mums’ group for every stage: from baby to toddler, or even an evening membership for mums of school aged children; as well as our one day refresher (second+ baby) antenatal course, dads group, events and more.

Book your taster session below to join our thriving community and find your support through parenthood.

What is Gathered?

Gathered brings together our members to discuss their honest experiences of parenthood and support one another through the inevitable highs and lows.

You’ll meet the same parents on a regular basis, discussing everything from generational differences in parenting, to our experience of time, to relationships and sharing the mental load. As one of our members described it, it’s bit like a book club, but with no book to read. You just turn up with your own experiences and thoughts, to share or to listen, laugh, cry or anything in between. You can find out our current theme on our instagram.

As well as coming to weekly or monthly Gatherings, you’ll join our online, private, curated app to connect, get advice, ask questions and share ideas; receive a weekly podcast to spark discussions and be invited to join social events, and book parenting consultations and motherhood mentoring as needed.

Membership fees range from £20-£58 per month, with subsidies for those who need them and a hardship scheme for members facing temporary financial difficulties. We offer up to 3 taster sessions to help you settle in as a new member, so come along to find out more.

  • "The Gatherings are a bit like going to a book club, but without having to read any books (which would be impossible right now!). There’s a topic to prompt conversation each time, but it’s just about your own experience of parenthood and how you’re finding things."

  • "I wasn't sure at the first session how different it would actually be to just going for coffee with a group of mums, but within a few weeks I could really see how it was. The conversation just gets much more real and you really feel you're getting to know people much quicker than in 'real life' and the facilitation means you can just relax and no worry about running out of conversation"

  • "It's so great to have a weekly meeting where you don't have to put in a lot of energy and effort to make it happen. And you meet the same people again! So you can actually build up something. I think making new friends when you have a little child is just very hard."

  • "I loved that there was a chair with my name tag on it so that I didn't even have to decide where to sit, the openness of all the other women and that there immediately seemed to be common themes. That made it quite easy to feel part of it."

  • "Having a theme to focus on in the chat was really helpful as a starting point. Everyone got to speak at some point and I felt very included despite it being my first session"

  • "Gathered is a fantastic idea to bring women/mums together. Everyone but especially the staff was so kind. I was made to feel super welcome straight away. Even receiving an email prior to the session was a lovely touch which already made me feel welcome."

  • "In the beginning it gave me a safe space to find my feet & slowly gain confidence. Now it is really lovely to see how much my daughter enjoys having the chance to play with other babies without the constraints of a class, she recognises other mum’s & is comfortable enough to explore which gives me the chance to talk without feeling guilty."

  • "It has made me feel part of a truly supportive community and really has transformed my maternity leave. I love that it’s a group of women at all different stages of motherhood (not just all brand new mums). I also love how you guys guide the group to discuss the big topics so we really connect."

  • "You made me feel so welcome, something I haven’t experienced at other groups where there is zero pre chat before the activity starts. It made a big difference to feeling comfortable about the session and the group."

  • " I wish I’d come months ago! Oddly the thing I was worried about was turning up somewhere, knowing no one, making new connections and feeling not part of the “club” but I really need not have worried as you make it that these things aren’t issues"

  • "I loved that there was a chair with my name tag on it so that I didn't even have to decide where to sit. The openness of all the other women and that there immediately seemed to be common themes. That made it quite easy to feel part of it."

Who are we?

Our community started as a parent and baby park walk during the Covid lockdowns, when enforced social distancing highlighted just how vital local friendship and support is to our wellbeing and mental health as parents. Since then, Gathered has grown and evolved. We now offer (thankfully indoor!) weekly or monthly in-person meetings in three different locations, SE22, SE19 or SE27. Find out more about our story here.

Our team of faciltators has grown organically over time, often with members deciding they would like to become more involved in the community.
