Small group, big community.
Our intimate antenatal course for up to 6 couples offers an relaxed, interactive experience where you can ask questions and receive tailored information in a group that is small enough to get to know each other well. To support you to build a broader local network, your course includes your first month of Gathered membership and existing members will come to meet you and to share their own recent birth and postnatal experiences. All of this means the support you receive from a Gathered antenatal course extends far beyond the weekend, and you’ll belong to a community, as well as an antenatal group.
Our classes are facilitated by Gathered founders Rachel, a experienced local Midwife; and Katharine, a primary teacher & parenting consultant.
Together, we bring our expertise to guide the group as you learn all the fundamental information & skills you’ll need to go through labour or a planned caesarean birth, and those vital early weeks with your new baby and older child(ren).
We firmly believe there is no one right way to give birth or to parent: these decisions are multi-faceted and complex. Instead, we seek to give you the knowledge and confidence to ask the right questions, to have the right conversations and to make the very best decisions for you as a family, whatever that looks like.
